Just an hour or so ago, rap’s ultra impresario, Sean “Diddy” Combs, took to Instagram to announce that Ciroc Mango will be the newest flavor offering from the already popular vodka brand. The likes and comments are already piling up as feedback from fans seems to overwhelmingly positive. Could the Ciroc Boyz go an astonishing 8 for 8 with these rollouts? It appears so.
Since inking a 50-50 profit share agreement back in 2007, Diddy and Ciroc have been on quite a tear! In just nine years, they’ve introduced multiple variations of the super premium alcohol and witnessed sales soar. Even with a slight drop in the final quarter of 2015, the number of cases sold has risen considerably year to year.
To date, Ciroc Peach has been the brand’s top-selling flavor. Credit that to massive support in the Peach State led by Atlanta’s booming entertainment industry. However, with strong releases for Pineapple and the recently released Apple, that could soon change.
It’ll be interesting to see how Ciroc Mango performs versus the competition. Brands like Absolut and Smirnoff already have a mango option in the marketplace. But, if past success is a predictor of things to come, Diddy probably isn’t losing any sleep.
